I’ve been twice now to The House of Wands, and the atmosphere and customer service were welcoming, clean, and calming both times. It’s a quick walk from the recommended parking lot, which was pretty easy to find with lots of spaces. I love the interior of the shop itself, lots of natural light, open spaces, and plants. Elle tattooed me, and she was kind and made the journey of doing my tattoo a good one.

If you are looking for an amazing artist and fantastic experience for your next tattoo, then I highly recommend Fronkie at House of Wands. She spent a lot of time drawing the design and making sure the placement and size were perfect. From mixing her own colors to the small details, she was amazing to work with and my tattoo is amazing.

Incredible work!!! I am so happy with how my tattoo came out. Micha posted this artwork on their Instagram and I immediately fell in love with this flash. When I got there, I started to feel a bit nervous as this was my first major tattoo. They were SO supportive, talked to me through my worries, and gave me experienced feedback on the placement of the piece itself. After contemplating for a while and expressing my concerns about the size, they gave me multiple options for how they could resize it and ultimately suggested removing some of the leaves and doing two sessions so I could give more thought to it in between. The support meant so much to me and made me feel like more than just another customer (a feeling I’d received at other tattoo shops in the past). After letting pt. 1 heal, I decided to go ahead with the OG art and I could not be happier! With two decades of experience under their belt it’s no wonder it came out perfectly. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you Micha and the entire team (Saturday is a GEM).

I came across this shop through a tiktok video and knew that it was a safe space. As a woman and a member of the lgbtqia+ community, I've had some less than great experiences being tattooed but House of Wands feels like home. I've gotten 2 tattoos from Micha, who is an absolute gem! They took the time to sit with me and go over both tattoo designs to make sure I was 1000% happy with them. The quality of color, design and execution is unmatched. I won't be going anywhere else from now on.

I had such a phenomenal experience at House of Wands. The space is welcoming, comfortable, clean, and absolutely stunning. Both of the owners are such genuine people and being in the space they created together is a game changer for the industry here in Richmond. I got tattooed by Micha and they captured exactly what I wanted. My tattoo healed perfectly. I was comfortable throughout the entire appointment and it was the easiest time I've had healing a tattoo in a long time. I'm so grateful for my experience and tattoo.
